| Educational DVD concept: Environmentalism and Eco-criticism |

As producer for this prototype, I helped
my client identify requirements for creating a DVD supplement for
a proposed Environmental Policy/Cultural Studies book. The target
audience was defined as Advanced Placement (AP) Environmental Science
high school students, freshmen and sophmore college students, AP
high school teachers and college professors.
We researched the user groups and determined the different interactions
types, such as in-classroom usage vs. at home study mode, needed
for this type of multi-use resource.

- I worked with my client,
Dr. Kavita Philip, to help define the goals and requirements of
the project.
- I helped to define the target user groups, gathered research on
the specific user groups' goals and needs. I also studied different
educational technology methodologies.
- Based on the user groups and scenarios, I developed a navigation
system, user interface and specific mode characteristics system.
- I developed the initial prototype using Macromedia Director, edited several
video clips and developed the visual design style based on the video imagery.
